£150 per day (approx 32 days per annum)
Based at PSL [Project Space Leeds], Whitehall Waterfront, LS1 4EH
PSL is seeking a freelancer to work with us to develop and extend our educational and participatory arts provision.
We are looking for an experienced person to respond creatively to our main programme of exhibitions, events and occasional off-site projects over the next 12 months and to develop educational activities around these in partnership with the curatorial team. You will develop, produce, deliver and evaluate resources and sessions relating to the current National Curriculum and other learning agendas.
The successful candidate will represent PSL at Visual Arts Network meetings and other relevant networking opportunities, and maintain school liaison and communications with Artforms/Education Leeds and other organisations as appropriate, including both Universities in Leeds and the College of Art & Design. H/she will also be responsible for monitoring projects, collecting data and writing evaluation reports suitable for ACE, Leeds City Council and other stakeholders.
You will have experience of developing and delivering workshops and other activities with a range of audience groups including formal learning for primary, secondary and post-16 institutions. You will also have a track record of working with a contemporary visual arts organisation. You must have a current CRB check, and may have a teaching qualification or equivalent. Additional budget is available for materials and print.

PSL is an independent not-for-profit contemporary visual arts organisation, based in 500 square metres of exhibition space at Whitehall Watefront in Leeds' city centre, five minutes' walk from the train station. PSL was founded in 2006 by artist/curators and current Directors Pippa Hale, Kerry Harker and Diane Howse. PSL is funded by Arts Council England, Yorkshire and Leeds City Council.
