Of Eight Pieces Friday 18 May, 7-9pm at Holy Trinity Church, Boar Lane, Leeds city centre Free entry with refreshments, donations welcomed
Please join us this Friday evening, 18 May for a one-off evening of acoustic performance, video and sound
running parallel with the current exhibition at PSL 'Pieces of Eight'
including work by artists from the show; Sam Belinfante, Andy Abbott and
Ian Balch alongside a selection of Leeds-based artists.
The
evening will explore the way in which artists use musical forms and
languages in both the formation of their work and its exhibition. As a
literal reformulation of the exhibition 'Pieces of Eight' the event will
be built around a series of live elements that will constitute a kind
of concert; individual 'movements' that will amass to form a live
iteration of the group show. All of these elements together will all be
offered as musical moments - temporal fragments that orbit the practises
of the artists involved.
*'Pieces of Eight' Exhibition at PSL
will be until 6.15pm when you are invited to walk through town with PSL
guides to Holy Trinity. Curated by Sam Belinfante in collaboration with the artists. www.sambelinfante.com
